I love my Squank so much! Every time I walk by her cage she always makes some annoying noises. So my mom said to give her some love so instead of taking her out then giving her a shower and having her in my lap for two whole hours I tried some techniques.
She started making some noises again and all of a sudden I sit down next to her cage and start making kissing and laughing noises. It may sound wierd but she really copied me! It was amazing! She kept on copying me with laughing noises and kissing noises so next time I ask her to give me a kiss, she would really give me one!!! She has learned so much in the past few days. i think I will do it a lot more often! Maybe next time I can teach her some words!
Daily Life of Squank
I will talk about daily life of my bird, Squank. She is a quaker parrot. She loves making noises and keeps me up all night! But she is still a joy whenever she lets me scratch her head to get all kinds of stuff out. She has a lot of personality unlike my other pet.

When I got Squank Food...
so the other day i got her food and a toy to play with. the next week later she had bitten off half of the toy and there was food on the stick which attached to the page. so she now has bitten off most of the toy i gave her which was supposed to last about a month! thats scary. I love squank enjoying things so thats why i always give her nice and fun toys to play with once in a while!

This Weekend
This weekend Squank was about to go hungry. Once we ran out of bird-food we started giving her fruits and toast. She did not like the toast as I thought but she did eat some of the fruits and lettuce I gave her. She started throwing food on the bottom of her cage and gradually it began to rot and I finally cleaned her cage! And it was starting to smell bad.
When I was with my dad at Safeway I reminded him to get some food for her. So we got her one packet of bird food which is pretty big and one attachment treat that goes on her cage. She would love it, I thought. So once I got back home I cleaned her cage one more time to get it looking good and then I poured in fresh bird food not table scraps, fresh clean water, and I attached the treat on the top of her cage. It looked spectacular! Everyday from now on I take full responsibility for her food, water, and shelter for my baby Squank!

First-Timers!
We first got Squank when I was eight or nine years old. I was chosen to take care of her because I really wanted to have a pet. The owners were one of my mom's friends. They could not take care of Squank anymore because they were moving out of town and wanted someone to take good care of her. So one day the owners came to my house and they just checked things around the house if it was safe and be taken care of well so they said okay, and the bird was mine. It was at first kind of funny when they took her out because she flew all the up to a window sill and she would not come down! It was funny. That was how I first became an official owner of Squank! Until this day I love her so much.

This Weekend with Squank
This weekend I had been getting a couple of ants in my room and as I kept on killing them I noticed they were coming from behind the cage. It was disgusting. I first was cleaning Squank's cage then I remembered the ants. I took her cage and moved it into the hallway. As I was vacuuming everything was a disaster. The garbage can full of eaten food of Squank spilled, the vacuum broke down in the process, and while all this she was yelling her lovely noise into my ears.
I never found out what to do until my mom called me down for dinner, I was so happy. I could finally eat and not worry about anything. Once I was done I went back up and I had finished what I had started. I still kept Squank out in the hall. I had figured it was easier not to worry about her and focus on the mess; everywhere.
When I had finished cleaning all the little things she had pooped on or chewed up it was time to go to bed. I was tired by then but I at least finished cleaning everything she messed up. Hopefully this will not take another whole day to finish. Until this day she is in the hall hoping I come home to bring her back in my room.
